(dailyconservative) – Prominent Republicans are beginning to suggest that President Donald Trump’s election challenges in the courts are meritless and that he should concede.
Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R) said about the Texas lawsuit, “It’s an absurd idea to think that any state, or any number of states, no matter how good they are, can challenge another state’s right to run the election as they see fit.”
He continued, “The reason the Supreme Court is not taking this is not because of a lack of courage. It’s for the same reason that every court has thrown this out. It’s a lack of evidence and a lack of any type of legal theory that makes any sense.”
Karl Rove was even more blunt. “America likes comebacks, but they don’t like sore losers, and he is on the edge of looking like a sore loser and probably will look like it after January 6,” he said.
Rove didn’t think even congressional objections to the Electoral College vote on that date would succeed, and suggested that Trump may be trying to set up a run in 2024.
