(dailyconservative) – House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) pointed out Monday on the Fox Business Network that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has been trying to do a “money grab” for the Post Office since “well before COVID” and that she is “trying to take advantage of a crisis.”
Scalise said that Pelosi wants to give the Post Office $75 billion, which is equal to their annual operating budget.
The Post Office is delivering the mail,” he continued. “If every American voted by mail, it would represent maybe a two percent increase over what they did just in June of this year. So, this isn’t about whether or not the Post Office can deliver the mail. That’s going to be taken care of regardless. It’s about Nancy Pelosi just trying to grab more money, and leveraging and holding families hostage and businesses hostage during this pandemic.”
He also accused Pelosi of having an agenda to get states to mail all voters ballots before the pandemic as well.
After all, it was Eric Holder, a Democrat and member of the Obama administration, who said that the party should never let a crisis go to waste.
