BREAKING: Pentagon CONFIRMS… They Were Deployed on American Soil

(washingtonexaminer) – The Pentagon has approved a request from the Capitol Police to have the D.C. National Guard prepared to help at this weekend’s rally in support of the Jan. 6 rioters.

The rally, which is being put on by Look Ahead America and will be held on Saturday, has law enforcement agencies working to prevent a repeat of the riot that occurred the day Congress was set to certify President Joe Biden’s electoral victory. That event led to a handful of deaths and hundreds of arrests.

The Department of Defense announced on Friday that Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has agreed to provide 100 National Guard members who will be stationed at the D.C. Armory as a physical security task force.

A spokesperson said that if Capitol Police require additional assistance during the fall, they will first turn to local, state, and then federal law enforcement before requesting the physical security task force to help. Even then, it will only “help protect the U.S. Capitol Building and Congressional Office buildings by manning building entry points and verifying credentials of individuals seeking access to the building.”

The Capitol Police board approved the department’s request to bring back temporary fencing around the Capitol building ahead of the rally earlier this week, which had been in place following the Jan. 6 riot and stayed in place until it was removed in early July.

A spokesperson for the Capitol Police confirmed to the Washington Examiner earlier this week that representatives have spoken with the military and have “multiple agencies assisting,” though they “cannot provide specifics as we do not want to give away security sensitive info.”

Former President Donald Trump , who was impeached in the House of Representatives but acquitted in the Senate for his role in the riot, stood in solidarity with those who have been “persecuted so unfairly relating to the January 6th protest concerning the Rigged Presidential Election” in an email earlier this week.

In the lead-up to the riot, Trump repeatedly promoted various unproven theories that the election was stolen from him, and he has maintained that stance to this day.
